MOORESVILLE, N.C. - Mark Patrick Bentz, 49, of Mooresville, N.C., died Saturday, July 31, 2004.
He was born March 18, 1955.
He enjoyed all sports, including baseball, football, hockey and basketball. His passion was racing.
Survivors include his wife, Cathi Hertel Bentz; five children, Adam and Juli Bentz, Tiffany and Brian Masil, and Katie Bentz; six grandchildren, Taylor, Devin, Courtney, Austin, DeAndre and Marcus; and 10 siblings, Janet and Glen Thuering of Milwaukee, Art and Gail Bentz of Maine, Don and Grace Bentz of Wonder Lake, Myron and Becky Bentz of Mississippi, and Tony and Nancy Bentz of Ringwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Myrtle Bentz; and a sister, Betty Schneeweis.
The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at St. John's Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg. Memorials to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317 would be appreciated by the family.
