Thomas 'Twig' Walter Miller
June 21, 1955 - October 9, 2018

Thomas 'Twig' Walter Miller, 63, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. He was born to Elaine and Sonny Miller on June 21, 1955. 

Twig grew up playing sports and considered baseball as his favorite with the Chicago Cubs being his favorite team. He also loved to ride his bike and played golf every chance he could. He was the president of the 'Johnsburg Sunday Morning Golf Team'. 

Twig was in the banking industry for 25 years. Upon retiring from banking, he became the assistant groundskeeper at Richmond High School where he later became the assistant varsity baseball coach. He almost reached his goal of visiting every major league ballpark - he was only 3 parks short. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and played Santa every year when they were young. 

He is preceded in death by: Sonny Miller (Father), Sandy Miller (Sister), Stan Pankiewicz (Step-Father), Agnes and Tony Freund (Maternal Grandparents), and George and Eleanor Miller (Paternal Grandparents).

Twig leaves behind his mother, Elaine Pankiewicz, his siblings: Ron (Sue) Miller, Cindy (Rich) Holtz, Dave (Penny) Miller, Tim Pankiewicz, Jeff Pankiewicz and Rick (Katie) Pankiewicz, his nieces and nephews: Jamie (Nathan) Daugherty, Jeff Miller, Steve (Shannon) Holtz, Melissa (Kevin) Klean, Lindsey Miller, Ashley (Steve) Seydel, Trevor Pankiewicz, Kalei Pankiewizcz, Emily Pankiewicz, Allison Pankiewicz and William Pankiewicz, and great nieces and nephews: Hailey Holtz, Natalie Daugherty, Luke Daugherty, Michaela Miller, Gage Klean, and Jax Klean.

Twig will be missed by all of his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Twig's memory to the JourneyCare Foundation, 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025 or online at www.journeycare.org/Donate.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Rd., McHenry, IL. The visitation will resume on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church 3500 W. Washington McHenry, IL 60050. Interment will be at St Patrick Churchyard Cemetery.
