Born in Waukegan, he was the son of, Phillip and Nancy (Langerwell). He is survived by his son, Jimi; his parents; four sisters, Cynthia Mattio, Christine Miller, Lisa Mayfield, Amy Mowrer. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
