He easily made friends wherever he went
 

McHENRY - Richard Emil Edwin Stepanovic, 52, a lifelong resident of McHenry, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at home.

He was born Jan. 30, 1955, in Westchester, to Emil and Dolores Stepanovic.

He was the co-owner of Floring Werks in Spring Grove. He raced motocross since he was 14 and was a member of Slo-Pokes Motocross Club. He rode at Maplehurst and raced senior class. He also was a member of the AMA.

He easily made friends wherever he went.

He enjoyed the company of his buddies, Dalton and R.J.

He is survived by his fiancée, Shereé Walter; two sisters, Mary Ann (Bill) Chaney and Debbie (Bob) Welter; three sisters-in-law, Donna Stepanovic, Melody Annerio and Debbie (Mike) Wofford; a brother-in-law, Richard Sklarski Jr.; his godmother, Anne Kastner; his fiancée's children, Michael and Reannin Walter; his nieces and nephews, Matt (Paula) Welter, Becky Welter, Brent (Becky) Johnson, Nicholas, Crystal and Anthony Annerio, Ashley, Samantha and Haley Wofford, Richard III and Amanda Sklarski, and Anne and Adam Stepanovic; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Crystal, Kailey, Bryson, Ezra, Camden and Raphel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Stepanovic.

The visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, until the memorial service at 1 p.m. at Spring Grove Funeral Chapel, 8103 Wilmot Road, in Spring Grove, 1 mile north of Route 12.
